High-Performance FAST IR-Cameras

Main features

  • The fastest thermal imaging cameras on the market with up to 3,100 frames per second in full screen mode and 120,000 frames per second at reduced resolution
  • Permanent calibration: The FAST cameras provide radiometrically calibrated measurements for all operating conditions from the moment they are switched on.
  • Automatic exposure control: The camera adjusts the exposure time itself depending on the scene in order to achieve the best image quality.
  • 4-position filter wheel: The FAST series has a practical 4-position filter wheel that makes it easier to use in changing measurement scenarios.
  • Waterproof and dustproof: Certified, sealed IP67 housing, ideal for on-the-fly measurements.

Description

The Telops FAST camera series comprises a selection of the highest speed infrared cameras available on the market. These cameras are available in a wide range of model variants, ranging from the short-wave to the very long-wave infrared bands. This enables them to fulfil a wide range of different measurement requirements and applications. Due to their high sensitivity, impressive temporal resolution and proprietary automatic exposure control (AEC), the FAST cameras are particularly suitable for analysing dynamic events, such as in ballistics, combustion or experimental mechanics. In addition, the FAST cameras are also available in HD or Super HD formats in the medium wave range to ensure high image quality.

Application examples

Railway inspection: In the South Korean railway industry, FAST cameras are used to monitor railway tracks and prevent accidents.

Tensile strength test: In this classic test from experimental mechanics, for example, a metal sample is placed under tension at both ends in order to determine the corresponding physical parameters such as strength, elasticity and breaking point.

Combustion analyses: For example, for injection processes in diesel engines.

Ballistics: For example, the ballistic effects of a projectile impacting a composite material are observed.
